Executive Director, Irna Landrum joined SUPC in 2007, bringing a wealth of experience in community organizing as well as a great passion for people. Irna’s past work includes organizing with Grassroots Solutions in the Minnesotans for Better Roads and Transit campaign, the SEIU Family Childcare Workers campaign, and several campaigns for political candidates. Irna holds a Master’s degree in Advocacy and Political Leadership from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
Community Organizer, Jen Elwood joined SUPC in June 2007 as a HECUA (Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs) intern. Jen has a theater arts background and is looking forward to integrating the arts into Summit-U’s outreach work. Jen is a student at the University of Minnesota, where she is pursuing a dual degree in sociology and theater.
Environmental Organizer, Szilvia Hosser-Cox graduated from the University of Minnesota’s Environmental Science, Policy and Management program last year with a minor in Sustainability Studies, and has an economics degree from her native Hungary. She is passionate about sustainability, likes gardening (although is just a beginner) and also resides in this neighborhood. She works part time for the University of Minnesota’s ‘Regional Sustainable Development Partnerships’ on the Southeast Minnesota Foodshed Planning Initiative as an Assistant Project Manager.
